Boarding & Dry Lining in Malvern & Worcester
Plasterboarding, over boarding and dry lining for homes and businesses
Professional Plasterboarding & Over Boarding
Boarding is often the first step before plastering — getting the walls and ceilings right at this stage makes all the difference to the finished result. I offer full plasterboarding and dry lining services including over boarding, dot and dab, stud wall construction, and thermal laminate boarding.
Over boarding is a common requirement on older properties where the existing walls aren't suitable for a direct skim. Rather than hacking off old plaster, I can board over the top and then skim to give you a perfect, smooth finish. It's quicker, less messy, and often more cost-effective than the alternative.
Whether it's a garage conversion, a loft extension, new partition walls, or a full house renovation, I handle the boarding and the plastering so you get a consistent finish throughout. I work on residential and commercial properties across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

When Do You Need Boarding?
There are several situations where plasterboarding makes more sense than traditional wet plastering:
Renovations
Old walls in poor condition? Over boarding gives you a fresh, flat surface without the mess and cost of hacking off old plaster. Common in Victorian and Edwardian properties around Worcester and Malvern.
Conversions & Extensions
Garage conversions, loft conversions and new extensions all need boarding before plastering. I'll make sure the boards are properly fitted with the right fixings for the application.
Improving Insulation
Thermal laminate boards combine plasterboard with insulation in one product. They're a practical way to improve your property's energy efficiency, especially on solid external walls.
If you're not sure whether you need boarding, plastering, or both — just give me a call. I'll come out, have a look at what you've got, and tell you the best way to tackle it. No charge for the quote.
